The 2009 World Series of Poker’s Event #1 is has begun. The $500 Casino Employees No Limit Hold’em event saw 867 dealers, floorpeople, and bartenders pony up the $500 in an effort to win the first bracelet of the series. This years prize pool is an estimated $389,700 with the winner set to receive almost $84,000. Numbers for the event are down slightly as last years event saw 930 entrants and a prize pool of $418,500 (May 28, 2009)
